Schneider Electric buys PTC for $22.6bn in record deal. France's Schneider Electric agreed to acquire US software firm PTC for $22.6 billion in an all-cash deal, its largest-ever acquisition. The $205-per-share offer carries a 42.3% premium. The deal aims to build a scaled industrial software and AI business, with $250M annual cost savings expected by year three. Deal closes in Q3 2027.
