Two captive-bred Great Indian Bustards released in Rajasthan. Rajasthan's Desert National Park has received two captive-bred male Great Indian Bustards as part of conservation efforts for the critically endangered species. Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav released the birds on October 4. Known as Godawan, the species is among the heaviest flying birds and faces threats including habitat loss and collisions with power transmission lines.
