Lockheed Martin eyes $10.5 billion India aircraft deal. Lockheed Martin is competing for a $10.5 billion Indian defence contract to supply 60 medium transport aircraft. Partnering with Tata Advanced Systems Limited, 48 of the 60 planes would be built in India. Lockheed also plans to upgrade the Air Force's existing C-130J fleet to create a unified 72-aircraft fleet. Mahindra-Embraer and Adani Defence are also competing.
