United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has urged world leaders to take immediate action against climate change, calling the upcoming COP31 summit a "moment of truth" as he prepares to make his final major climate appeal before leaving office at the end of the year. Three years ago, he even said “the era of global boiling has arrived” – referring to rising temperatures and increasing extreme weather, both results of climate change.
