The food safety regulator said it had inspected 56,431 establishments and issued 10,047 improvement notices from September 1 to November 5 as part of the drive. FSSAI inspected 56,431 establishments in a nationwide drive, seizing over 3,270 tonnes of food worth ₹81.8 crore and suspending 1,133 licences. The regulator also suspended 1,133 licences after inspecting over 56,000 food establishments and finding more than 2,200 non-compliant samples.
