A 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture at about 1.04am on Sunday (Nov 8 ), leaving dozens injured and disrupting train services. The quake, with an epicentre depth of 41km, also triggered strong tremors in neighbouring Aichi Prefecture. No deaths were reported, and there was no tsunami threat.
