Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Surat recorded the highest outward passenger movement during the current festive rush, with around 57 lakh passengers travelling from 16 railway stations across these regions between November 1 and 6, according to railway ministry data. Delhi alone recorded an average daily outflow of 3.4 lakh passengers, while Mumbai saw 2.39 lakh departures a day during the period.
