The action was taken on Friday and Saturday, following inspections at 73 establishments across the Greater Mumbai, Konkan, Nashik, Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nagpur and Amravati divisions. The department also recovered penalties amounting to Rs 70,000 in five cases under Section 69 of the Food Safety and Standards Act.
