Two senior officials at the US Department of Justice have resigned, deepening a wave of high-level departures following the midterm elections, in which President Donald Trump's Republicans lost control of Congress. The exits include John Eisenberg, who headed the DOJ's National Security Division, and Jason Reding Quiñones, who oversaw investigations into past criminal probes involving Trump. Their resignations follow the departure of civil rights unit chief Harmeet Dhillon.
