Maharashtra's FDA suspended licences of several food businesses, including Biryani By Kilo and a D-Mart outlet, during a Diwali drive targeting unsafe food practices. The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the licences of 105 food business outlets, including quick-commerce platforms Blinkit and Zepto, and ordered seven establishments. Mumbai accounted for 28 suspended licences, while seven establishments across Maharashtra were ordered to cease operations.
