Rising crude oil prices, a stronger US dollar and weakness in the Indian rupee are among the factors contributing to the decline. Gold and silver prices witnessed a sharp decline on Dhanteras, bringing some relief to buyers ahead of the festive season. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures fell by Rs 2,428 per 10 grams to Rs 1,41,667.
