PM Modi will confer the Dr Bhupen Hazarika National Award to Usha Mangeshkar at the closing ceremony of the late musician's birth centenary in New Delhi on November 29, featuring a tribute. Assam has named Usha Mangeshkar the first recipient of the Dr Bhupen Hazarika Rashtriya Award, carrying ₹10 lakh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to present it on November 29.
