Tens of thousands of workers across France took to the streets on Thursday (Nov 5), over low wages and the rising cost of living. Nearly 200 rallies were held nationwide, with some demonstrations turning violent as clashes broke out, with police firing tear gas and protesters setting fire to objects on the street. At the height of the unrest last month, curfews were imposed in several cities.
