Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Wednesday that the state’s ministers would try to spend time with farmers during Diwali in view of the distress caused by the widespread drought in the state. Maharashtra government directly transfers drought relief funds of Rs 5,000 to over 73 lakh farmers before Diwali. Loan waiver of Rs 4,764 crore also credited to 4.86 lakh farmers.
