Former Indonesian President Joko Widodo appeared in court on Thursday (Nov 5) to testify in a defamation trial over allegations that he used a fake university diploma. Widodo, popularly known as Jokowi, was summoned as a witness in separate trials involving former lawmaker Roy Suryo and physician Tifauzia Tyassuma, who face defamation charges over the claims. Jokowi was greeted by hundreds of supporters as he arrived at the East Jakarta District Court.
