Higher material costs and operating expenses weighed on BEML's margins, while a sharp increase in tax expenses dragged net profit down 31.3% despite 42.1% revenue growth. BEML's total income increased to Rs 1,198.10 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with Rs 846.13 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
