Cabinet Wednesday approved a Rs 2,814 crore scheme to boost domestic processing of lithium and nickel, reducing dependence on imports of critical minerals. With an eye on reducing dependence on imported critical minerals, the Union Cabinet has approved a scheme to set up domestic lithium and nickel processing facilities in the country. Govt approved a ₹2,814 crore Capex Support Scheme to Promote Critical Mineral Processing, aimed at building domestic processing.
