Farmers of 13 villages on Wednesday called off their road blockade and sit-in on National Highway 353C at Ashti in Gadchiroli district after chief minister and Gadchiroli guardian minister Devendra Fadnavis appealed to them to end the agitation. Affected landowners and farmer representatives have demanded clear written assurances on market valuation and fair compensation norms before field surveys or land acquisition proceed.
