A 75-year-old paddu vendor was cheated by a woman who posed as a police officer. This woman allegedly gained his trust and collected money to help recover his wife's missing gold chain. On October 26, she transferred Rs 1.6 lakh from his digital accounts before fleeing with his phone. The victim had been saving the money for his last rites after his death.
