Imphal: The Governor of Manipur has constituted District-Level Peace Committees in all districts of the state, each to be chaired by the respective District Magistrate. As per an official notification issued on Tuesday, the move is aimed at improving the prevailing law and order situation by strengthening peacebuilding through sustained dialogue, community engagement and confidence-building.
