In an extensive inspection initiative prior to Diwali, the Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration seized food products worth Rs 45 lakh and temporarily revoked the licenses of five businesses. The operation revealed large amounts of sweets in unsanitary conditions, raising health alarms. Two individuals were taken into custody, leading to the registration of three FIRs.
