The cabinet on Tuesday approved a Transport Ministry proposal to cap Bangkok electric train fares at 45 baht on all lines, to ease the strain on commuters' wallets as the cost of living soars. Deputy spokeswoman Ploythalay Laksameesaengjan said the fare limit applies to the 2027 calendar year. It received the green light from the cabinet duringthe meeting held in Udon Thani province.
