The Enforcement Directorate's recent operation in Bengaluru targeted a sophisticated counterfeit medicine ring. As a result, Rs 9 lakh was frozen in the bank accounts of suspects involved. Investigative efforts led to a farmhouse in Bidadi, where counterfeit Pfizer-branded antibiotics were allegedly produced using low-cost generic drugs from across various regions. Significant quantities of fraudulent medications and vital incriminating documents were also seized during the operation.
