Corning Inc has operationalised a new optical connectivity facility in Pune to meet AI data centre demand, while its Chennai cover-glass plant has entered trial production. The US-based company plans to add capacity at its Pune facility by 2027 as demand for optical fibre and connectivity products rises from AI data centres and telecom.
