With Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on November 5, the Bombay High Court has granted the film. Taking note of the concerns, Justice Madhav Jamdar observed that the plaintiff had a "real and well-founded apprehension" that the film could be subjected to illegal recording, streaming and piracy. The court also considered the substantial financial investment involved in the project.
