Bhopal will separately collect over 1,000 kg of hazardous firecracker waste expected after Diwali across its 85 wards. MPPCB and BMC will transport the waste to Pithampur for scientific disposal. Following NGT directions, authorities will also implement pollution control measures, including water spraying, awareness campaigns and safer waste handling.
