Indonesia has successfully established a fully integrated downstream nickel industry, creating a complete domestic electric vehicle (EV) battery ecosystem. Indonesia is targeting at least USD 45 billion in nickel exports in 2026 as the government accelerates downstream processing and supply chain development to increase the value of its mineral.
