The 5G laboratory established by the Union department of telecommunications at the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) regional centre in Kalaburagi has emerged as the best-performing 5G lab in Karnataka and earned recognition among the top facilities in the country. The laboratory was recognised for its contribution to international journals and standardisation bodies, the development of functional 5G products and use cases, and the active participation.
