S Gurumurthy, Editor, Thuglak described the Ramlila Maidan gathering as a significant shift from confrontation to democratic protest, saying the Opposition had returned to constitutional methods of political mobilisation. While acknowledging the rally's role in energising Opposition ranks, he argued that crowd mobilisation alone does not amount to durable political unity or a compelling national agenda.
