The Janibili anicut dam in Ganjam district of Odisha has suffered damage during the recent floods. Several iron shutter plates have been damaged and water is flowing out through the affected section. Repair work is underway to restore the structure. The anicut supplies water to Berhampur and other areas of southern Ganjam through its canal. However, the damage has disrupted the water flow.
