The students have been shifted to authorised BMC, government and private schools. The unauthorised institutions had received closure notices during the 2025-26 academic year and had around 5,000 students enrolled. More than 1,200 students who were enrolled in 164 unauthorised schools across the city have now been shifted to authorised government and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools, as well as private schools.
