IIT Bombay has launched KrishiDrought.in, a public portal offering weekly agricultural drought forecasts up to four weeks in advance. Using satellite data, hydroclimatic information and deep learning, the platform provides district-level predictions to help farmers and government agencies prepare for droughts and minimise crop losses.
