Mysuru: Sugarcane farmers staged protests at two locations in Mysuru district on Saturday, demanding a minimum support price (MSP) for sugar and a fair. Members of the Karnataka State Sugarcane Growers’ Association blocked the Mysuru-Ooty National Highway in the city, briefly disrupting traffic. Protesters lay across the road to halt vehicle movement and called on the Centre and Karnataka government to intervene in support of sugarcane growers.
