A plan to revive town centres by turning empty shopfronts into new local businesses is being proposed by Minister of State for Retail Alan Dillon. Local authorities, regeneration officers, and Local Enterprise Offices will be asked to match vacant premises with the needs of the community as part of an initiative that will be rolled out in 26 designated towns.
