Gujarat Samachar. Ahmedabad witnessed an aggressive Congress protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar on Nov 1, 2026. Police said around 700 people were detained from Jantar Mantar and nearby areas, including members of AISA, SFI, NSUI and other student organisations. The protest came a day after the INDIA bloc organised a symbolic public impeachment programme against the CEC at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge's residence in New Delhi.
