The much-awaited Bengaluru-Mumbai Vande Bharat Sleeper Express was flagged off by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on November 1, 2026, marking the launch of a new overnight rail. According to the Ministry of Railways, the service is aimed at improving connectivity between Maharashtra and Karnataka. The South Western Railway Zone will be operating and maintaining the train.
