The proposed e-rickshaw zoning plan for the city has run into fresh uncertainty after thousands of operators shifted to battery-operated auto-rickshaws (e-autorickshaws) over the past six to seven months, forcing the traffic wing of the Jaipur Commissionerate to revisit its calculations. Civic and transport authorities are coordinating field operations to improve commuter safety, reduce transit bottlenecks, and streamline daily travel across key urban corridors.
