What if your delivery robot could climb stairs and bring a parcel right to your doorstep? Courier company Evri is testing Iris, a two-legged robot developed with Japan-based Refined Robotics. Capable of carrying packages weighing up to 15 kilogrammes, Iris is designed to navigate uneven surfaces and tight spaces that can challenge wheeled robots. The trial will test whether it can help human couriers handle the final leg of deliveries.
