Braving blinding snowfall, sub-zero temperatures and unforgiving winds, electricity workers are working relentlessly to bring power to Ladakh’s remotest frontiers, including Nubra and Siachen. The expansion of Ladakh’s power transmission network, being executed by the Ladakh Administration with support from the Centre, will significantly reduce dependence on diesel and kerosene, advancing the region towards a sustainable, carbon-neutral future.
