Air Chief Marshal Ashutosh Dixit has assumed charge as the new Chief of the Air Staff, succeeding Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, who retired after a distinguished 43-year career in the Indian Air Force. An accomplished fighter pilot with over 3,500 hours of flying experience across more than 20 aircraft types, Dixit takes over the top post following a ceremonial guard of honour for his predecessor at the Race Course Air Force.
