Orissa high court on Saturday rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Bidyabharati Panda, widow of assistant conservator of forests (ACF) Soumya Ranjan Mohapatra, in the 2021 sensational death case, citing the absence of any distinguishing ground to grant her protection from arrest. The Telangana High Court, on Friday (May 15, 2026), declined to grant pre-arrest bail to Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay’s son Sai Bageerath in the case.
