While migrant caravans heading from Honduras to the United States have dominated headlines in recent weeks, a much larger number of Hondurans made the journey in the opposite direction this year. Nearly 38,000 have been deported back to their homeland since January, with most returning to the same conditions they had hoped to leave behind.
