Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp political broadside against the Opposition, accusing it of becoming an "Avrodh Paksh" or force of obstruction rather than a constructive opposition. Warning against what he termed "anti-India forces", Modi questioned political voices that allegedly echo India's adversaries, took a swipe at Opposition leaders over their foreign engagements, and cautioned against "Dimaagi Naxal" thinking that he said weakens national unity and hampers development.
