Wayanad is set to become India's first e-waste-free district, collecting eighty tonnes of discarded equipment through a fifty-day campaign. The initiative aims to protect the environment and promote sustainable waste management across local communities. Noolpuzha grama panchayat in Wayanad has been declared the country’s first fully e-waste-free village panchayat after collecting 5,423kg of electronic waste in two phases.
