Delhi’s Barapullah-III opens to massive jams, commuters stuck for hours. The newly inaugurated Barapullah-III corridor aimed to reduce travel time between Mayur Vihar Phase-I and AIIMS. On its first day, drivers faced significant congestion, experiencing delays up to two hours. Despite the corridor being marked open on Google Maps, the entry at Mayur Vihar Phase-I was initially barricaded. Traffic police indicated that nearly one lakh vehicles quickly entered the corridor, leading to major backups.
