Hyderabad SIR voter revision could reduce the electorate by 41%, with nearly 19.4 lakh voters placed in ASDD categories. The projected reduction is comparable to Bengaluru, where the electorate declined by 43 per cent, from 1,03,88,363 to 59,08,151, during its revision exercise. Hyderabad’s 15 Assembly constituencies had 47,36,669 registered electors before the SIR. Of these, 27,95,225 submitted enumeration forms, while 19,41,444 were categorised under ASDD.
