Agartala, 29th October 2026 : The Assembly of Journalists (AoJ) has strongly condemned an alleged death threat issued against senior journalist Manas Pal on. According to the AoJ, the threat followed Pal’s social media post concerning the Raisya Bari gang-rape case, allegedly involving NLFT militant Haflong Jamatia. The organisation has urged police to register a suo motu case, take legal action against those responsible and ensure the journalist’s safety.
