Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Navy (IRGC Navy) has issued statements about four incidents involving supertankers in the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC says two of the supertankers, each carrying two million barrels of crude oil, hit mines because they were navigating through a part of the waterway that is forbidden and unauthorised by the Iranian authorities.
