A major glacial lake outburst has been reported in Bhutan, triggering a flood alert across parts of North Bengal and lower Assam. The outburst has been reported at Shintaphu Tsho in Bhutan. Floodwaters are flowing downstream through the Mofu River towards the Sonkosh River, also known as the Gadhadhar River in the downstream border region.
