The main objective of an AAIB investigation is to identify the circumstances and causes of an accident and recommend measures to prevent similar occurrences. The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will investigate the Uttarakhand helicopter crash near Joshimath. The helicopter was on it way to Badrinath as part of the Char Dham Yatra.
